Conde Nast Traveller Hot List Hotels 2007
A comfortable yet thoroughly eco-sensitive resort on an undeveloped part of the Caribbean coast just north of Kuna Yala (a.k.a. San Blas), this property consists of six thatched-roof bungalows perched above the sea. From one's outdoor deck is an uninterrupted view to where the surf rolls in, or a view straight down into clear water and coral that shelters many small fish and crabs.

OverWater Options
There is something very alluring and quintessentially“honeymoon” about an overwater bungalow. Until recently you would have had to travel to French Polynesia to find one, but these closer-tohome resorts now have overwater rooms, too.
There are few things we can all agree are romantic—one girl’s lace is another’s cotton jersey. But an overwater bungalow?

Prom to Plunge.. Chronicling the journeys of Kate and Rob…
Our three days at the Coral Lodge were equally surreal and pampered. We stayed in one of six thatch-roofed villas that jut out from the mainland over the turquoise waters of a small bay filled with its own spectacular coral reefs. From our back, private balcony we could while away the days in a chaise lounge or hammock, or dive in for a swim or snorkel around the bay. |
