Snorkeling on the Escribano Reef and San Blas Islands, Panama, Central America
OUTER REEF SNORKEL TOUR

How would you like to open an unforgettable window of wonder? Come with us and discover the joy of snorkelling, a contradiction of both exercise and relaxation. Snorkelling is a safe, easy and enjoyable activity for participants of all ages and skill levels. With snorkelling the underwater world becomes accessible without the need for heavy scuba gear or special certification. You will be accompanied by one of our experienced instructors to guide you around the aquatic delights of the Baja Escribano. The brightly coloured fish swimming amongst the richly textured coral will stimulate your imagination. Come and join the magical world of turtles, rays, eels, parrot fish, tangs, barracuda, damselfish, fan corals, brain corals and sponges, but to name a few.

For the snorkelling excursions at Coral Lodge we take a small boat (8 people maximum) to various destinations along the Baja Escribano. Only a 20 minute boat ride from the resort, this reef offers a delightful and memorable encounter (don’t forget your camera!).

The crystal clear waters are a balmy temperature of around 86F, giving you plenty of time to fully experience the underwater wilderness. The depth varies from 10 feet to 30 feet, and with visibility of up to 60 feet you can easily explore this pristine environment, where fish and coral formations come together to provide a kaleidoscope of colour.

If you want to get up close and personal with the marine life you can skin dive (breath hold diving), if you don’t know how don’t worry we’ll teach you.
